FRONTLINE RANKS BRIEFED ON PROFESSIONALISM AND PUBLIC EXPECTATION

The Guyana Police Force on Friday, January 8, 2021, held a Seminar to highlighting the need for Officers to employ and maintain Professionalism while on and off duty.
Facilitating the seminar was a team lead by National Security Adviser, Captain Jerry Goveia and included Director of National Intelligence, Colonel Omar Khan, and Senior Public Communications Advisor  Mr Kit Nascimento.
Participants were drawn from Regional Division 4 ‘A’.  Also present were Regional Commander 4’A’, Assistant Commissioner, Simon Mcbean; Senior Superintendent Khali Pareshram, Force Training Officer, Superintendent Shiv-Persaud Bacchus and Officer-in-charge of Impact 4’A’, Assistant Superintendent Micheal Cort.
The interactive session allowed several ranks to voice their concerns on the challenges faced when dealing with aggressive and errant members of the public. 
However, they expressed appreciation for the seminar they deemed timely and committed to exercise greater professionalism when faced with adversity.
